Search for the alchemist

I ran along the many sand dunes, in search for the one powerful alchemist the resided in this world. It was my mission to find her, and to dispose of her. I was unsure of who gave me this mission or why, but I would complete it. As I reached the outskirts of a small village, I noticed a bright red-headed girl standing among the buildings.

(Haha you actually posted it...wonderful. XD I'm changing my posting style for this topic, so it makes more sense. )

I stood in one of the many villages in Ishbal, surveying the people around me. I knew that they didn't know about me being an alchemist, and I wished to keep it that way. Among the crowd of people, I felt a new presence nearby. I began walking forward, surveying this new person

(Heheh think of it as payback for you getting yourself hurt in school XD)

I skidded to a stop as she began walking towards the edge of the village. She really didn't seem like much at all; I didn't understand how she became the strongest in her world. But..I would soon find out. I was not yet in her sight. With a flick of my wrist, I threw a small needle in her direction.

I put up a hand and quickly caught a needle that nearly flew into my face. Wonderful...not the ninjas again. I quickened my stride and reached the top of a sand dune. A girl about my age stood on top, watching me. "Not to be rude.... but who the hell are you?"

I looked at the girl, with no change in expression. I had been taught not to give out any information. "Hmph.." I launched at her, aiming a punch at her face.

"Tsk. Now that's rude." I caught hand before it came towards my face. "You know Kei Yuu, It's not smart to take missions that you don't fully understand." I heard her thoughts, almost as if I had thought them myself. "Killing me won't be so easy." I slammed my fist into her stomach, sending her flying back.

I took the hit and landed crouched a few feet away. The girl, small like me, sure could punch. "Very nice." I wasn't sure how she read my thoughts, but her slightly glowing right eye hinted me. I would have to weaken her first. "My turn." I made a hand sign and disappeared. I appeared right in front of the girl and hit the base of her neck. As I jumped back, a small purple dot appeared where I hit.

I wasn't sure what the girl did, but my body slightly spasmed in pain. I knew something worse would come from her attack. I punched the ground and two slabs of earth rose and slammed into Kei.

I managed to get out of the way of the slabs, with only my left arm getting hit. It was semi-crushed as the two slabs hit it. With Natsuki's movement, the purple dot multiplied even more. Because of the placement of my jutsu, her pain would be even more intense that usual. I stood and watched pain raced through her once again, biting my lip and holding my arm to my side. I had my next jutsu ready to use.

I winced slightly as the pain shot through my body, more powerful than before. The dot on my neck had started to spread. I knew that the pain would come again and keep on increasing until my body gave up. I launched myself at Kei and flipped over her, shooting fire down on her with a snap of my fingers.

I jumped to the side, dodging the fire. A small chakara ball appeared in my hand, and I touched my arm with it. The broken bones began to heal. Natuski didn't have much longer to fight with my poison attacking her.

Damnit. Kei was even thinking about me falling....and I knew she was right. As I landed on the ground, my legs almost gave way under me. I could now see purple dots snaking down my arms. I covered my mouth, coughing up blood, and I turned and faced Kei. While she was distraced with healing herself, I ran forward and slammed my palm into her stomach...hard. My alchemy energy shot sent her flying over the sand dune. As I finished my attack, I fell to my knees. The poison was working well.

I flew back from her attack, my body screaming out to me in pain. I hit the sand and skidded to a stop. I laid there for a moment, not wanting to get up. When I finally pushed myself up, my eyes had changed. Houkou was awake now, and I knew there would be no way that Natsuki could win. I turn and lunged towards here, chakara trailing behind me.

I looked up and saw Kei lunging at me. With much effort, I hit my hand on the ground and formed a swirl of sand around myself. She ran into to it. I knew it wouldn't hold her long, and I didn't have much longer. Damn...what have I gotten myself into?

(You know...If I actually take you down, I have no idea what I'll do with you then. I need to plan these things out better.. )

I flipped over her sand barrier and landed on the other side. I sat on the ground, waiting until the poison took its toll. There was no point in wasting any more energy.

(Hmm...'dunno. I don't think anyone will step in to help me, considering no one has yet, so you probably won't have a problem with that. But about the 'bad-guy-employer' thing, I have NO idea. Plan better! XD )

I sat in the barrier, breathing in shallow breaths to prevent myself from moving much. I was attempting to by some time to think about what to do next. If Kei hadn't used her jutsu attack, fighting her off would have been so much easier.. I coughed up more blood and attempted to keep my barrier strong.

I sighed, growing quite impatient. I stood up and jumped back, away from the barrier. "Sakura Fubuki no Jutsu.. " I threw ten kuni at the barrier, which exploded and rained notes down. With a moment’s hesitation, I threw the final kuni. The notes began to burn....then a huge explosion went off.

(Grrrr...I'll let you win this time.. Hmph I shouldn't make dinner for us tonight XD )

-the smoke clears and the barrier is there, half crumbled-

I collapsed inside what was left of my barrier... The explosion was too much for me.

I sighed once and let go of Houkou. Walking slow, I reached Natsuki and pushed away her sand barrier. I pick her up with a little difficulty, because she was my size, and threw her over my shoulder. She was lighter than I expected. I turned and began running back over the sand dunes, away from the village and back to my own world.
