we need to dicuss how masks are gonna be ranked as well as stats boost cuz as it stands it's a bit vague

also depsite what abilites they have, they do give a certain stat boost

Can you elaborate? It's probably just because i just woke up, but I’m having a bit of trouble understanding the whole 'masks are gonna be ranked' idea.

Stat boosts? Well, i guess that would depend on the type of hollow (?). Take for example Lisa’s mask. with it on, her speed (sword swing speed), is drastically improved, then again, that seems to the the only one that actual does something, so, I’d say that masks should give the same overall boosts to every member. (probably +1 rank to each stat? +2 to one to the members Choice?)

Naruhi and I have conversed on this. The masks aren't going to be incredibly powerful. They are only gonna do two things at most.

Stage 1: D to C rank, the mask will boost one stat +1 or 25%. Ex, average would go to great, poor to average, etc. This stat has to be pre-chosen when registered. The power of the mask will only last x amount of posts and will have a cooldown after that time has expired.

Stage 2: B rank to A rank, the mask can be upgraded. The user, if they wish to upgrade, will get to pick a second stat to increase +1 or 25%. This stat has to be pre-chosen, and will last less posts than stage one and will have a longer cooldown.

Stage 3: At S Rank, the mask will get one final upgrade. The user may pick from one the two stats, and one will recieve a boost to +2 or 50%. This mask will last less than posts than stage two. If the user so chooses to use this mask, once the posts run out, they may not use the mask again the rest of the fight.

I decided this after the conversation bc the weapon will have so much already. Despite my bleach knowledge, I know how to limit things. If u have any questions, please post, and ill be glad to answer

But the x amount of posts gets to me. I have a formula for finding such things as that, but i'm not sure if you guys can use it...

The formula is:

#OP = Number of Posts

{#OP} ÷ 20 = Duration of Ability(ROUND TO NEAREST WHOLE NUMBER)

Example::

However, the intention of this formula is not really made for us high level posters. It's for the kiddies.

Say a member, we'll call him 'Naruhi', has 100 posts. We plug the formula in...

100 ÷ 20 = 5

So, he would keep his Mask on for 5 posts. And as such, a member with 20 posts would keep it for 1 post, 40 for 2, and so on so forth.

Let's face it, after we Revamp, our huge post counts go with all the old shit, and we start low again. So this formula may just be perfect.

Actually it'll just go by the simple method of power.

Stage 1: this will probably last the longest due it being the lowest form of mask. It can last probably 15 posts and have a low cooldown of 5.

Stage 2: Bc it boosts more, it wont last as long bc it is stronger. It'll last probably 10 posts and the cooldown will be higher. Around 10 posts. The user will probably have a drawback here as well. Maybe a -1 in one of the stats for x amount of posts. Most likely 4.

Stage 3: Bc this is such a heavy boost, it wont last long. Maybe 6 posts. When its over, you will not be able to use the mask for the rest of the topic. You will also recieve -1 in two stats but the posts will be for around 6.

You see where this is goin? The use of post count is too op. So everyone gets the same treatment. Read the Naruto Database and its techniques. That's how many things will be registered.

but dominic-senpai if everyone is equal it wont have all the fun of the animes, i kinda like narora's idea of post count cause it kinda reminds me of a video game where ur only as strong as you mature. I played a game once where you could transform but not for long but the more you transformed the longer you could maintain it after a bit. Also it would be fair cause you don't want a noob like me to be your equal do you? Sorry if i just sound stupid.

Okay, I think you both have some good points and that we should find a middle ground.

The issue with post count is that the amount of posts someone has doesnt exactly show their strength or the amount of time they have practiced their abilities with the mask. Take for example right now, these posts would technically all go to our post count but we arent doing a thing with our masks. Honestly posts range from technique creations to having topics where everyone is chilling at a bath house. So im not so sure about using overall post count. i do however like the post count idea IF it were to only be the amount of posts used training for the mask and using the mask in battle For example: (40 posts of training)/(5)= 8 posts with the mask. That way until you have five posts of training with the ,ask you cannot use it.

The numbers can be flexible ofcourse, maybe not 5 but ten or 15 but that will come after we get a system. i also feel that after a while there should be a max amount of posts a mask can be on. Because 1000 posts with a mask is pretty over powered honestly.

Yukino has a point as well on the fact that everyone can't be equal, thats pretty much chaos on an Rp. There always has to be an Arc of Power. A-F 1-5 Genin-Kage ect.

Hope this was in someway helpful. im not to sure how powerful the masks are but judging on what ive seen ichigo and the other vizards do with them in the show, id say the powers and post counts need to be balanced in juxtaposition to Bankais.

a mask is different based on personalities like shinji's mask makes him 3 times stronger with everything while lisas only inhanced her strength to swing her big sword faster. i think they boost your best and worst topics in a fight for example. i wanna use kido to fight but i also use my sword but im not really physically strong so my mask would increase my kido attack and my strength. but thats just how i think it helps.... i'm babbling aren't i

Don't put yourself down for wanting to help us. Your not babbling in the least. The ideas I gave are only examples. It doesn't mean everyone will have to choose them. So far, overall, your choices are strength, speed, intelligence, energy pool, and stamina. Anyone can mix and match their choices of which stats the mask can boost. That was why I suggested what I did. If a better route can be taken we can find it.
