Personality: A genius among those around him, Zane has always relied mostly on his intellect for most problems and as such has developed a very mechanical mind that strips things down to their core to rebuild them in a more reliable or useful fashion. Despite him being one of the best people to work with machines he is one of the absolute worst when it comes to talking and interacting with other people because he has become so used to being the only real opinion in the room (due to everyone else being a robot quite literally). There is however more than just a mechanic in his head, he grew up reading comic books and due to a lack of friends except when they needed something fixed he grew attached to the idea of heroes and super humans that were able to go above and beyond to help people which resulted in people loving them and wanting to hang around them. This eventually resulted in the creation of his hammer and him eventually becoming a local hero in his own right.

Childhood

As a kid Zane was a little guy, this was long before he would get his growth spurt and because of how scrawny he was the other kids tended to pick on him quite a bit. He sent most of his time in his workshop when he wasn't in school, creating new kinds of tech to help him out in all kinds of everyday tasks, like the first mechanical lawnmower in the world as well as a simple mechanical man to operate it. It was during this stage of his life that he first got his hands on comic books, his favorite being one that his father wrote titled, 'Captain Hammer', due to his love for the series it became his personal nickname that his parents used.

Teen Years

As he grew into the awkward years of a teenager Zane shot up in stature, becoming rather tall as well as gaining a considerable muscle mass from moving around so much heavy machinery. It was during this time that he first found love, a girl named Silvia. His love of his father's comics however never faded and he based his personality around this, continuing to make his robots and mechanical inventions but no longer only for himself but for the betterment of everyone around him, assuming the role of the everyday hero that was willing to do anything to help out others. This earned him a high level of respect not only from those in his home town but the neighboring towns and farms that he would often venture out to to find people in need of his services. This high respect made him the romantic target of many women but it was only Silvia that eventually got him, near the time they both turned twenty they were wed and happy.

Adult Years

For the first few years of his adult life Zane came more to grow into his nickname, creating a hammer that was able to smash stone into dust and using it to defeat countless monsters that approached civilization with evil intentions. This earned him even more respect among his fellow humans however it also slowly meant that the more powerful and ambitious members of the monster world were becoming annoyed by the man who was thwarting their plans. At age 24 Zane and Silvia had decided to have a child at long last. When they succeeded in getting her pregnant it was announced to the town and everyone rejoiced except for one who was a naga in disguise, this creature brought the information back to her master who then set in place an evil plan to ruin the life of the infamous captain hammer.

Several months later when everyone had settled back into life as normal the monster attacks seemed to all but stop, with the exception of a few minor creatures that took minimal effort to destroy there was nothing, while most were perfectly fine with this Zane was on edge knowing that this assault would never stop unless they were all wiped out and that there were plenty of demons in waiting no one had ever seen. His suspicions were proven correct when the mighty demon Yakra appeared in town and stole away his wife, slaughtering her in the town square destroying half of his defeated body before his mangled mess of himself was transported through time in what was know as 2300 AD.

In this slice of time he was found by a robot known as robo that had been placed in the same room that he appeared in as a guard. At first the robot was hostile, throwing the man into a recovery chamber to be made into a mechanical slave. There was an oversight though which resulted in Zane's body only being repaired and made stronger than it had been before. After he was completed over the course of many months he escaped from the pod and found the robot that placed him inside it to meet in combat. The battle raged on and destroyed a large portion of the factory making it more or less a barren area with robots that became wild now that their programmed tasks were impossible.

In order to survive in this crazy world Zane used random blueprints as well as his knowledge of mechanics from his home world to repair and reprogram the mechanical man that had caused him so much pain. When he rebooted the machine was rather friendly, and due to Zane not being extremely familiar with the tech of this timezone yet by accident destroyed several brain circuits which somehow worked together to give the machine a personality like a living person which allowed the two to bond and become friends over the years.

He would remain here with his robotic friend for 5 years, growing more accustomed to his new body and gaining advanced knowledge of the tech of the era. One day when they were on a mission to collect parts for a project they were working on and found themselves back in the room where they originally met. While collecting Robo made a mistake a booted up one of the main security grids that registered both of them as intruders as the recognition codes for robo as a guard were no longer present in his programming. In a last attempt to repay Zane for giving him a second chance to be whatever he desired he saved him by taking the fire from the defense lasers while his friend was blocked off. The area sealed itself off and no matter what he tried Zane was unable to reenter and reclaim his friend and fix him, the only piece of Robo that he was able to find was his memory chip that had a record of everything that had happened to the two of them since his original reprogramming, this is Zane's most precious treasure.

Years passed and he became known once more as a slayer of evil, using the new advanced technology of this time to fuel his power, known to many only as Captain Hammer or The Hammer of God he withheld his identity like a true superhero so that no one could hurt those close to him if he should ever choose to make any more friends. Recently though he had heard that people had appeared in his timezone and they traveled with a reprogrammed guard robot from one of the labs, though he had doubts this robot was the same as the one he had called friend so long ago he has set out in search of them to see what the truth was.
