Here on Anime Alliance, the battles have always been left to the members to decide. However, like all sites, the fighting that needed attention would result in certain conflicts. So now we are introducing multiple battle systems fit to adjust to any style that the parties can agree on.
Traditional Rules: These are the fights within your RP that will and are required to follow all rules of Charge Time, Duration, Damage Ratio, and Cooldown. There is absolutely ZERO chance of God modding and all attacks posted too far ahead can or are subject to being broken down at any point that your opponent may see fit. This type of battle is usually reserved for the more skilled roleplayers, for this will be the heaviest moderated of the battle choices. This is also considered the Default choice if the two or more members cannot come to an agreement of their choice of battle.
Custom Rules: The great thing about custom rules is that the parties in agreement have 100% choice in how they would like to fight one another. This means no official rules of techniques or power levels have to be used. This is usually for testing and training, however, if your just wanting to have a great writing experience, this is the option you may take. The only downside, is that with custom rules, unless the leader of any world allows it, there can be no official damage or destruction in important locations. If it is a remote location (Random Forests, small towns, mountains, etc.) and does not affect plot or storyline, then it is acceptable without approval. Custom Rule fights that take place in the plot will be subject to shut down if the fight looks to have extreme and unrealistic God Modding. A few off the wall things are acceptable, but let's face it, your not the greatest thing since sliced bread....
Storyline Rules: These rules are the most important to read and understand. You walk a very fine line with these rules, so read carefully. Storyline Battles, CANNOT be custom rule fights in the area of Chakra, Power Level, Chi, etc.Your character(s) MUST use power sources in these fights and failure to do so will result in character death. No warnings will be made here. You may fight as you wish in terms of auto hitting, if the parties agree that the writing quality is more important than a structured battle. Usually in this case a member has agreed to lose a battle in advance. All techniques and damage MUST follow traditional battle rule guidelines, but moderation of the battle will be light if users have PMed in advance to an Administrator or Moderator.
Fight to the Death Rules: Last but certainly not least, this is the one battle option that has no limits. This is also the most risky of battles to choose from, and is the only one that has requirements as well. No character under 300 posts can take this as an option. This allows members to fight any way they see fit, and destroy everything possible if they so choose that are inanimate objects. The agreed parties, by taking this, come to the agreement that one of their characters will die. There is no escaping this. By choosing this option for battle, you eliminate your character with zero chance of having them return to the site by revival. If this battle choice is taken, the administration has every right to terminate it if by any means if it seems suspicious or for self gain.
It is wise to post your battle rule choice before you start battle. Please include any stipulations that you and your opponent(s) have decided upon if you choose custom rules. If there is any reason that you wish to keep the outcome secret, PM an Administrator. Here on AA we don't want to discriminate in terms of battle, so these choices have been made to make your fighting experience everything you want it to be. Please Enjoy!
